Convened by Embassy Lusaka’s Press Section, twenty-one women journalists filled the room for a brand communication training session by University of Kentucky School of Journalism and Telecommunications Director Dr. Beth Barnes. The group included USG alumnae, well-known TV and radio personalities, and other journalists from both public and private media organizations. Questions ranged from personal branding to generating positive publicity for their outlets.

At the close of the session, one participant stood on behalf of the group to thank the speaker and the U.S. government for supporting women’s personal and professional growth. PAS staff distributed IIP information resources on communications, as well as PAS-produced fliers highlighting USG exchange program opportunities and post’s social media platforms.
