Lusaka, Zambia—In coordination with the Women’s Entrepreneurial Centers of Resources, Education, Access, and Training for Economic Empowerment (WECREATE), the Embassy of the United States of America to the Republic of Zambia is proud to announce the Second Economic Panel Discussion focused on the agricultural sector. The discussion is part of a series of economic panel discussions the U.S. Embassy and the WECREATE Center are holding to support Zambia’s economic growth and prosperity. The panel discussion will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 10:00 to 12:00 hours at the U.S. Embassy.
The event will feature presentations from an esteemed panel of six leaders on the challenges and exciting potential for the agricultural sector in Zambia. Panelists will include U.S. Ambassador Eric Schultz, Honorable Minister of Agriculture Given Lubinda, Indaba Agricultural Policy Research Institute Executive Director Chance Kabaghe, Musika Development Initiatives Managing Director Reuben Banda, Guy Robinson, and U.S. Agency for International Development Economic Growth Team Leader Anna Toness.
This second Economic Panel Discussion will highlight the growth opportunities for local agricultural businesses and bring together government officials, business leaders, entrepreneurs, civil society members, diplomats, and academicians.
