Yesterday, at a U.S. Election event at his residence, U.S. Ambassador Eric Schultz stated, “It’s always kind of difficult when you have very, very close elections like this. And as Zambians among us know, close elections are always the more difficult ones to come together afterwards. But I would hope and expect that whoever the next President of the United States is will make job number one the task of reconciling this pretty divided country. And that’s not just true in the United States. It’s true throughout the world these days. It seems like every election is really, really close if it’s a free and fair election.”
